新横浜ラーメン博物館（Shin-Yokohama Raumen Museum)

何年ぶりかで新横浜ラーメン博物館へ行ってきました。　熊本の「こむらさき」のラーメンを食べるのが目的です。　自宅からバイクで30分程度で到着します。
今日は日曜で、到着したのがちょうど昼ごろだったのでさぞ混雑しているかと思いきや、まさかの待ち時間なしでした。　他の店舗も15分くらいの待ち時間だったようです。コロナ禍の前は30-40分待ちが当たり前だったので、拍子抜けした感じです。
I went to Shin-Yokohama Ramen (Noodle) Museum for the first time in many years.　The purpose of this visit is to eat ramen from “Komurasaki”, Kumamoto.　It’s about a 30-minute motorcycle ride from my house.
I thought it would be crowded since it was Sunday and I arrived at the museum around noon, but surprisingly, there was no waiting time.　Waiting time of the other ramen restaurants was about 15 minutes at the maximum. Before the COVID, it was normal to wait 30-40 minutes.

ラーメン博物館は1994年に開業したフードテーマパークです。　1958年（昭和33年）の鶴亀町・蓮華町・鳴戸町からなるラーメン街を再現したものです。（ただしこの3町は架空のものかと思います。）　昭和33年といえば終戦後まだ13年しか経っていないわけですが、東京タワーの完成、関門トンネル完成、新幹線こだまが運転開始、プロ野球で長嶋茂雄がデビュー。。と、まさにこれから日本が高度成長期に入る時代でした。
The Ramen Museum is a food theme park that opened in 1994.　It is a recreation of a ramen town that consisted of 3 fictitious towns named Tsurukame-cho, Renkamachi, and Narutomachi in 1958. Year of 1958 – only 13 years had passed since the end of the war, but building Tokyo Tower was completed, building the Kanmon Tunnel was completed, the bullet train (Shinkansen: Kodama) started operating, and Shigeo Nagashima made his debut as a professional baseball player. It was a time when Japan was about to enter a period of rapid economical growth.

入場したところにある案内板、「ラーメンとは？」です。中国の麺料理と日本の食文化の融合である、だそうです。

今回の目的、こむらさきです。　1994年の開業時からこれまでずっと営業しています。　Komurasaki Ramen restaurant – today’s visit. This restaurant has been here since 1994, opening year of the museum.
王様ラーメン。これが食べたかったんです。　King’s Ramen. This is what I wanted to enjoy! Garlic tips are on slices of pork.
私の記憶にもかすかに残るパチンコ屋の風情です。　It’s the look of a pachinko parlor that remains faintly in my memory.
昭和30年代はこんな街頭テレビがあったそうですが、私の世代はもっと後で、すでにテレビが家庭にありました。　　In the 1950s, there was a street TV like this, but my generation was much later and already had a TV in the home.
今でもあるところにはありそうな風景です。　　It’s a view that still seems to exist in some places even today.

街の駄菓子屋を再現したものです。　It is a reproduction of old candy store.
映画の看板が当時っぽくていいですね。　The movie signages are just what were made in those days.
ラビットスクーターです。　現在でも多くの愛好家がいます。　私の友人もラビット乗りです。　Rabbit Scooter.　Even today there are many enthusiasts.　My friend is also a rabbit rider.
ラーメン博物館の隣に、空きスペースを利用したバイク駐輪場があります。1回200円です。　Next to the Ramen Museum, there is a parking space for small motorcycles. 200 yen per one-time parking. Good for motorcycle riders to come to the museum.
1階の店舗で、ラーメン4袋＋揚げパン4個＋懐かしのココアシガレットを買いました。　　In the store on the first floor, I bought 4 bags of ramen noodles + 4 pieces of fried bread + a nostalgic “Cocoa cigarettes”.

ラーメン博物館に来るのは久しぶりでしたが、ラーメンもさることながらやはり昭和の気分に浸れるところがいいですね。　60年以上前の街を再現したものですが、ところどころに私の記憶と重なるところもあるので、見ていて楽しくなります。
It’s been a long time since I’ve been to the Ramen Museum, and it’s great to see the ramen, but it’s also great to be able to immerse myself in the atmosphere of the Showa era.　It’s a recreation of a town of more than 60 years ago, and it’s fun to look at it because there are parts that overlap with my memories.
