横浜港エリア～元町（Port of Yokohama area – Motomachi）

横浜港エリアから元町へのカブ散歩です。
Last weekend I took a stroll around the area of Port of Yokohama and Motomachi area with my SuperCub.

万国橋（Bankoku Bridge）

万国橋です。みなとみらい地区を一望できる格好の撮影スポットです。　クリスマスの夜にはみなとみらい地区のビルが全館点灯するので、ここで多くの人が撮影します。
Bankoku Bridge. This is a great spot to take pictures overlooking the Minato Mirai area. On Christmas night, all the buildings in the Minato Mirai district are lit up, so many people take pictures here.

象の鼻防波堤 (Elephant’s Nose：Zou-no-hana Breakwater)

大さん橋国際客船ターミナルの付け根から赤レンガパーク方向へ延びている防波堤で、上から見ると象の鼻に似ているので、「象の鼻」と呼ばれています。
開港150周年の平成21年（６月２日の開港記念日）に象の鼻パークとしてオープンしました。
This breakwater extends from the base of Osanbashi International Passenger Terminal toward Aka Renga Park, and is called “ZOU-NO-HANA” (Elephant’s Nose) because it resembles an elephant’s nose when seen from above.
It was opened as ZOU-NO-HANA Park in 2009 (on June 2, the 150th anniversary of the opening of the port).

ペニーズダイナー (Penny’s Diner)

昼食は、久しぶりにペニーズダイナーでハンバーガーを頂きました。
I had hamburgers for lunch at Penny’s Diner for the first time in several months.

元町：　Uni Coffee Roastery とポンパドゥール (Uni Coffee Roastery and Pompadour bakery)

Uni Coffee Roasteryとポンパドゥールです。共に横浜が発祥で、Uni Coffeeは最近店舗を増やしているようです。ポンパドゥールは昔からあるベーカリーで、昔に比べると店舗数は減ったようですが、元町通りではウチキパンと並ぶ老舗です。
Uni Coffeeは、ポンパドゥールの2軒隣です。
Uni Coffee Roastery and Pompadour. Both originated in Yokohama, and Uni Coffee seems to have recently opened more shops. Pompadour is a bakery that has been around for a long time, and number of its shops seems to have decreased, but it is a long-established bakery in Motomachi street, along with Uchiki Bakery.
Uni Coffee is two doors down from Pompadour.

横浜開港波止場 (Yokohama Port Wharf)

かつて東西上屋倉庫があった場所で、現在は開港波止場になっています。バイクも乗り入れができるようです。（おそらく小型バイクのみ）
橋の上を歩いていくと、象の鼻パークを抜けて赤レンガ倉庫まで行けます。
The site where the East-West Shed Warehouse once stood is now a wharf. Motorcycles can also be ridden in. (Probably only small ones)
Walking on the bridge, you can go through ZOU-NO-HANA Park to the Red Brick Warehouse.
