カブに乗る時にはこれまでTORCというメーカーの半キャップヘルメットをかぶっていました。手軽でいいのですが、安全性を考えるとやはり半キャップヘルメットは危険です。　というわけで今回、カブ用にアライのClassic MODジェットヘルメットを購入しました。
I have ever used TORC’s half-cap type helmet for riding Super Cub. TORC helmet is easy to use, however, it is not good from safety perspective. So I bought Arai’s Classic MOD jet helmet.

シンプルなグレーで、カブにぴったりです。
Simple design and simple color. This matches Super Cub so well.

顎紐はラチェットではなくDリングタイプです。
Chin strap is not ratchet type but D-ring type.

Classic MODのロゴが圧着されていましたが、はがしました。
There was crimpled logo of Classic MOD on the back, but I peeled it off.

右は、2018年に中型バイク免許を取るときに購入したZealotのヘルメットです。Classic MODと並べてみてもさほど違いはないように見えるのですが、被ってみると頭が縦方向に大きく見えてしまう、いわゆる「マッチ棒」になってしまいます。Classic MODはZealotに比べると横幅があるので、マッチ棒にならないのかもしれません。
Black helmet (right) is Zealot’s one which I bought back in 2018 when I started lessons to get middle-size motorcycle license. These two looks almost the same, but when I wear Zealot helmet, my head looks bigger vertically. Arai’s one has its width, so my head do not look big…

これまでかぶっていたTORCの半キャップヘルメットです。　もし転倒したら、耳のところが簡単にちぎれてしまいそうです。
TORC’s half cap type helmet that I have ever used. If I collapse when riding Super Cub, strap will be easily torn off.

ShoeiのJ.Oというジェットヘルメットも考えましたが、フィッティングしてみるとアライの方がしっくりきました。　そういえば、今CB1100に乗る時にかぶっているShoei J-Cruiserは1時間ほどで頭が痛くなってきます。　もしかすると私の頭にはアライの方が合っているのかもしれません。　次回買い替えるときはアライにしてみようと思います。
Shoei’s J.O. jet helmet was another choice for buying. When I tried to put both of Arai and Shoei on, Arai’s one fitted well to my head. I use Shoei’s J-cruiser helmet for riding CB100 – I often have a headache after riding an hour. I guess Arai’s helmet is better for me than Shoei. Next time I will try Arai’s helmet.
